Chester-le-Street CE Primary School

Ofsted

Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum

Our Early Years provision has three key parts to it.

Rainbows - Our Rainbows provision enables 2 year olds a 15 hour provision with us, which is teacher led.

Nursery - This provides our 30 hours EYFS provision which is teacher led.

Reception - Children move into Reception class after being in Nursery, where they continue to access our EYFS to ensure that they are ready for their next steps in education, key stage 1. This is taught by our Early Years lead teacher.

Throughout their time in our Early Years provision, our children are supported to be happy, safe and cared for.  As a result of the well-planned, effectively delivered, exciting and engaging learning opportunities, our children leave EYFS ready for key stage 1!
