Our Church

Our school is linked to the Parish Church of St. Mary and St. Cuthbert, Chester-le-Street.

Members of the church regularly join us for Collective Worship in school and parents are always welcome to attend.

Reverend Matt Strand (rector) and Reverend Dave Edmondson (associate rector) regularly attend school to spend time with children and staff.  Revd Dave holds collective worship when he is in school as well as working with our school collective worship team to support the planning of their fortnightly collective worships.  Chaplaincy is offered to those who need / want it by Revd Dave alongside members of the church community.  Our annual prayer space event, which compliments our in class prayer spaces, is supported fully by Revd Matt and Revd Dave as well as volunteers from the church community.

We hold annual Harvest, Christmas Carol and Easter services at the church as well as attending services there at other times during the year. Our school choir often sing at these services.
